History
Northampton Chinese School was founded in 1985 by Northamptonshire Chinese Society with the support of Northamptonshire County Council. It is also a supporting member of the Association of Northamptonshire Supplementary Schools ( ANSS ) as well as the UK Federation of Chinese schools.
As of 2012 the school no longer receives funding from Northamptonshire County Council and is funded entirely by annual subscriptions and voluntary contributions.
Objectives
1. Teaching the children Chinese Language skills -: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
2. Provide a central place for parents to meet regularly and know each other as Chinese families are scattered around Northamptonshire.
3. Provide an opportunity for the Chinese children to meet their peers, support each other and learn about the Chinese traditions and culture.
4. Work closely with students and families to build self-confidence through the encouragement of individual skills talent and personal growth.
